On Sunday, November 15, St. Paul welcomed Rev. Barry Bordenkircher and his wife Cheryl, for his first Sunday here at St. Paul.
The staff of St. Paul wishes everyone a
with your family and friends.
Welcome to Reverend Barry Bordenkircher!
On Sunday, August 30, Reverend Barry Bordenkircher, candidate for Senior Minister, led us in worship. He engaged the children in a heart-warming Children's Moment and later shared an inspiring Message with the congregation. A congregational meeting immediately followed worship at which time members of St Paul had the opportunity to ask questions of Pastor Barry and his wife, Cheryl, the Church Council and the Search Committee. The meeting concluded with an overwhelmingly affirmative vote by the membership to approve Pastor Barry as the next Senior Minister of St Paul UCC, North College Hill. A reception, with lots of good food of course, was held in Fellowship Hall to welcome Pastor Barry and Cheryl.
Pastor Barry was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, where most of his family still resides. He has one son, Stephen, who is a senior (majoring in Social Work) at Bowling Green State University—and who has proudly served playing euphonium and Sousaphone in the BGSU Falcon Marching Band for four years! In 2012, Barry was married to his wife, Cheryl, who worked as a supervisor for Stark County Job and Family Services in Canton. She has since retired from JFS, but has resumed her work as a licensed Realtor. Cheryl has one daughter, and four grandchildren, all in Canton. Their blended family loves each other, gets along well, and always looks forward to times spent together!
Pastor Barry will officially begin his ministry at St Paul on November 15, 2015. We look forward to new and exciting times ahead as we strengthen our relationships with God, with one another and with people outside of St Paul.
